It is another film that has been lying in the shadow library for a long time. It seems that I have not seen a few of Gibson's films. The one that impressed me the most should be "Braveheart". There should be confidence in Gibson's script selection.
The story is about the Vietnam War. Lieutenant Colonel Moore (the name is strange enough) is the trainer of the airborne troops. He needs to be responsible for training the soldiers and then sending them to the Vietnam War battlefield. He carefully selected a group of fighters, and in his speech before the expedition, promised to bring them all back. After arriving at the Vietnam battlefield, he went deep into the jungle behind the enemy, and as a result, he encountered an ambush. The large army was cut into several pieces, and more than half of the casualties were injured. Even with the cover of follow-up firepower, there is no way to directly obtain rescue. On the other hand, in the continental United States, the wives who joined the army formed an alliance, and as a result, they gradually received news of their deaths. A war correspondent also came to the battlefield and recorded the entire battlefield with a camera. In the final battle of siege, Moore persisted until the last moment, and the rest were rescued. After Moore finally returned home, the family reunion was a happy ending.
The story itself is a description of the Vietnam War. No one wants the war itself, but some wars are still needed for a better future.
