Again, I want to say sorry to Jim Carrey. I've been wanting to see this movie for a long time, but it's been delayed until now. In 2018, Jim Carrey has no works. Having suffered from depression, he has slowly disappeared from the public eye. And those of us Kai fans can only watch Brother Kai's movies over and over again and reminisce about his magic.
This movie isn't Kai's kind of surprise movie. The old-fashioned plot combined with Kai Ge's usual funny style, but it did not disappoint me. It is worth mentioning that the combination of Kai Ge and Tia Leoni is really eye-catching. The two of them had a better understanding than any other actress Jim Carrey had worked with together before.
Some friends around me always say that Jim Carrey's funny style has no technical content, he is just a grandstanding with exaggerated expressions, like a clown. Every time they say that, I don't take it seriously. I've seen almost all of Jim Carrey's movies. The film is a remake of the 1977 classic comedy "The World of Thieves and Thieves." Remakes usually end tragically, but this one apparently escaped. I think it's because of Carrey, even though Carrey is no longer in the cast, we're still looking forward to the comeback of Kerry and looking forward to his come back!
