How important is calmness in the face of life's disasters

Incredible. Subverted my imagination of a movie (maybe I'm a little ignorant). I admire the director's courage to create a movie in this way. A stretch of highway, a car, a faceless actor, numerous phone calls, and a compelling and addictive story unfolds. However, this also shows the director's self-confidence. If it is not exciting enough, how can he tell the story like this? Tom Hardy, who showed his face, was very powerful. He explained what kind of person Locke was with his expressions, words, voice, and upper body movements. This is a very good man, a good man who made a serious mistake. He is a very capable architect. I was amazed by the other actors who only acted in this scene with their voices. Just horrible voice actors. With just the voice and words one can fully imagine all the expressions, body movements and emotions of this guy. Amazing!!! I also think Locke made a big mistake and can't help but think, if it wasn't for that one night stand without this kid ! But, this is life. We always make mistakes, we can't not make mistakes, so this movie is not about not making mistakes. Well, I think it's saying "if something catastrophic happens in your life, calm down and figure out a way to fix it." The ability to be calm is so important, and Locke's character perfectly illustrates that. If he broke down at the beginning, he would have lost more. Again, this story is amazing!

Locke quotes

  • Ivan Locke: You make one mistake, Donal, one little fucking mistake, and the whole world comes crashing down around you.

  • Ivan Locke: Do it for the piece of sky we are stealing with our building. You do it for the air that will be displaced, and most of all, you do it for the fucking concrete. Because it is delicate as blood.
