Quiet, still quiet, even killing people is so quiet. McCall disappeared seven years ago on a mission that everyone thought he was dead and attended his funeral. Only his close friend Susan of the CIA knows he is alive and has been helping those in need. Susan helps him from time to time. His former teammates betrayed justice (and did not seem to explain why) and killed CIA agents. Susan found clues and was immediately silenced. In fact, when Susan and Dave were in the elevator, Susan asked Dave to buy delicious Belgian chocolates. Dave said to go home, and immediately after Susan was going to have an accident, I assumed it was all Dave's doing. McCall helped the old man with amnesia find his sister, and encouraged the young man who was painting to get on the right track... A few years ago, I happened to see the first part of "The Avenger", which was an elegant conquest of Denzel Washington at that time. An agent doing the dirty work (killing) mentioned in these Hong Kong films can actually be shown like this. The second part doesn't show enough details like the first. McCall's obsessive-compulsive behavior of placing items, eating, reading... and so on, this is the elegance and gentleness of a man. The style of the movie is still delicate, American-style classical furniture, multi-storey blocks, enough American style, no prosperous, no extravagance, just like the action of the movie is punching to the flesh, there is no fancy action, what is needed is a deadly stern. I like these kinds of movies with long plots and slow narratives. Like Liam Neeson's "Vengeance". The dark picture and the icy typhoon formed a chilling sense of picture. In the end, in the one-on-four fight in the town, everything was so calm. There were typhoons and waves at sea, and McCall calmly took down the agents one by one. One that felt the most creative was the shot that made the bakery's flour burst. In fact, flour can achieve this kind of flash explosion and lethality. Well, nothing more to write, Denzel Washington has gained a lot of weight.
