Strong narrative masks major flaws revealed by human details

This is a movie with a very strong narrative. It's like a heavyweight boxer who keeps hitting the moviegoers, making people dizzy and ignoring the details of the movie itself.

It's a pity that this is a movie that makes people feel regretful whether it is human nature exposure or plot. I believe that if the same script is made by Ang Lee, or Spielberg or the like, this film will definitely get a very high score.

This is a twisted story, the following will be spoiled in one sentence, please ignore. The doctor's daughter was raped by a Meituan rider at a wedding and died of the disease. In order to retaliate against the Meituan rider, the doctor transformed him into the appearance of his wife. Meituan rider killed doctor after seeing past photos

You see, doesn't this plot become extremely boring once it's summed up?

In fact, if you think about it, the plot of this film is quite good. So the question is, why does it seem so boring? Where is the boring point?

First, I think there are still too many details. The doctor's so-called genetically modified technology should be discarded. The image of skin peeling may be very good, but it does not help the plot and characters' personalities. This is a tasteless and unfortunate chicken rib, it would be better to go.

Second, the relationship at the heart of the film is the relationship between the doctor and the post-transgender motorcyclist. This is the most twisted relationship ever. But I personally feel very dull after watching it. The main reason is that there are too few scenes in the film to explain the relationship between the doctor and his wife. As far as this film is concerned, the audience does not feel how much love the doctor and his wife are in their minds.

So when the movie's climax, the doctor and the transgender motorcyclist having sex, it's no big deal to think the doctor is just fucking a nice transgender.

The appearance of the tiger also made people feel inexplicable. His brother raped a transgender who looked like his wife. This was a plot that would have made people sigh, but it is strange that the director did not arrange for the doctor to know that the tiger was his same mother. Father's brother, this is so unbelievable. Is it because he is worried that the doctor's acting skills are not good enough to show the psychological expression of his favorite toy being played with by his brother first?

Third, and most importantly, an uninspiring, soft and disappointing ending. This ending is very similar to the field battle between the Meituan rider and the doctor's daughter in this film. They raised their guns and pulled the safety catch, but they didn't shoot. My God, I'm so pissed off. Even if it is the same ending as in the movie, the doctor wants to die, just smile before dying, but in the end there is nothing, nothing!

All in all, aside from its impressive narrative, it's arguably a disappointing movie. Although the relationship between the characters is complicated, the explosion points are perfectly avoided. If you avoid the explosion point, it is better not to be so full, perhaps the more concise, the more powerful the power to directly hit people's hearts!

  • Presidente del Instituto de Biotecnología: You know the application of transgenic therapy in humans is strictly forbidden!

Robert Ledgard: Yes, I do. And forgive me, but it seems the ultimate paradox.

[Dr. Ledgard pauses, staying silent while a symposium member walks by]

Robert Ledgard: We intervene in everything around us. Meat, clothes, vegetables, fruit, everything! Why not use scientific advances to improve our species? You know how many diseases we could cure with transgenesis? Or the genetic malformations that could be avoided?

Presidente del Instituto de Biotecnología: Don't continue. I know the list by heart and I think of it every day.

  • Robert Ledgard: How are you so sure of what I feel if even I don't know?

Marilia: Because I know you as if I'd borne you.
