In a trance, I remember seeing a Picasso painting "War" when I was a child. There was no bloody scene in the picture, just a few odd-shaped people. painter? Later, I stared at the dislocated facial features in the painting, and suddenly felt fear, disgust and pain in my heart, and even wanted to vomit. At that moment, I suddenly realized that these feelings are not all the feelings that "war" brings to human beings? It turned out that what Picasso painted was not painting, but spirit and thought. He was so great!
I'm not a dog lover, and I've never raised a pet. When I first saw the film "Release", I felt a mess, the story was messy, the editing was messy, the dog's vision and the human's vision for a while, and there were interludes and flashbacks, and there were large paragraphs in the middle. Shawon's monologue-style lines, and several uncles are all poets. He was stunned for a moment and gave up decisively.
However, when I was dreaming back at midnight that night, I suddenly remembered the dog in the film. He stood there looking at me, his black body was full of blood, he didn't advance or retreat, and there was no pleading or pity in his eyes. I don't know why, but it felt like an eternity in that moment...
------------------------------------------
I am a stray dog, who are the parents? where? I don't know, maybe they were killed by other dogs too...
As a child, I lived on the streets, shivering, and was adopted. The owner is eccentric, and his eyes are full of things I can't say, but as long as he calls me "good boy" tenderly, I'm sure he loves me.
Life started to get bloody, there were always mad dogs trying to rip me apart, and I could only live by biting them all to death, in order to satisfy the owner. Are dogs born this way? I don't know and I don't care, at least I don't have to worry about food anymore.
The craziest day of my life, two mad dogs rushed up to bite me at the same time, I couldn't resist and was injured, but I also bit them badly... It's strange that the owner didn't reward me as usual, but said coldly "shame" is gone. The man who was with me every day suddenly went crazy and beat me so hard, no, he was going to kill me. Only by biting his throat can he be quiet like any other mad dog... so he quiets down...
Suddenly, three geek humans appeared in front of me, staring at me, they were also here to kill me, right? What did i do wrong? Are you going to do this to me? I chased and bit them frantically, and I can only live by biting them all to death... They are very cunning, they hide in the iron gate and can't get out, and I can't get them.
I calm down. I saw a man and a dog again. That dog looked very docile and thin, nothing like the mad dogs I've ever seen. Hey, there are such dogs in the world? it is very beautiful. They didn't come to bite me, it didn't even smell me, didn't even know I was there. I watched them silently, guessing how cruelly he would torture it, but he did nothing but play with it... my master would never do that.
I continue to chase the three freaks. When I caught one, just when I was desperately trying to kill him, I was unfortunately stuck in a "trap" and couldn't move. I thought I was going to die, goodbye, master. But the freak didn't kill me, he saved me... I looked at him quietly, and he looked at me motionless, without murderous intent. It turns out not all humans are going to kill me.
The master is here, he is not looking for me. He's going to kill the freak who saved me. His eyes, those eyes that I had never understood but made me shudder, I finally understood today, and he wants to kill me too. He killed me, and I bit him by the neck to quiet him like any other mad dog. The last picture I saw was the freak crawling towards me, stroking me tenderly, and I gradually fell asleep...

There are no human protagonists in this movie, all humans are foils, and the only protagonist is this gladiator-like hybrid dog. I didn't think it looked good before because I wrongly stood on the subjective standpoint of human beings. Only by standing in the dog's position and perspective, slowly combing through the dog's life and feeling its feelings, can you feel the spiritual shock that the movie brings to the audience. However, the screenwriter and director did not simply visualize the dog's bloody life under the camera, but let the dog live on the "wall", which is the wall that records the qualifying list for the dog race. The long list almost fills the entire wall, and the camera moves repeatedly in front of the long list. With the help of the three thieves’ perspectives, the long shots are taken at least twice, plus freeze and close-up, the dog is tragic and short-lived. Throughout his life, he plunged deeply into the audience's spirit and thoughts, and felt the pain. The protagonist dog is the champion dog who survived to the end, and his fate is so tragic. Those dogs whose names have been crossed out long ago, not to mention the tragic fate. The writers and directors are well-intentioned.
From the incomprehension and disapproval of the beginning, to the panic and resentment when looking at dogs now, I think the screenwriter and director, as well as the actors, have done a good job in completing the theme of this film-a tribute to all those who have been treated kindly by human beings and hurting beings, the world is beautiful because of you, not because of humans.
