After watching the fifth episode, I can already feel that this drama may be as bad as Strain (Blood), or even worse than Strain. I don't know what to say. In addition, although I haven't read the original novel, I also I can guess that this adaptation is very different from the original. After reading the comments on the imdb station, as expected, many netizens pointed out that this adaptation is indeed destroying the original work, so I will post a few comments for everyone to see.
Baidu scumbag: I'm amazed why so many things go from books to TV series. Rewrite the storyline. Draw a new drawing. Cancelled behind-the-scenes activities related to Amy. Change personality. Change gender. Changed the tone of the whole book to a story that now looks hilarious. I'm at a loss as to why the series is even called a paragraph and can only speculate on how the plot will be further slaughtered in the future. These are very well written and have a different character development than I had before. I will describe this book as an epic journey full of drama and suspense, tension, grief and pain, unraveling a mystical touch about the supernatural and divine intervention. I am very disappointed with this adaptation.
I'm a huge fan of the trilogy and I've watched it four times. I'm really disappointed to see so many changes, especially Amy's story. I'm loving the cosplay so far (though I'm still sick of Babcock's cosplay being a departure from the characters in the books). I'll have to watch it for a few more weeks. The characters, storylines, and time periods in the book are so rich, I'd like to see how the TV show plays them all, or if they skip them altogether. UPDATE: For those of you who haven't read the book, you should read it because they're "stunned" by the reason why die-hard fans of the book are so disappointed. The show basically steals the title and general premise and then kills it with superficial character backstories. I've watched a few more episodes now and am getting more and more disappointed. Why not make a new story instead of being so detrimental to Mr Cronin's masterpiece?
