This movie seems to be different from the original

If the original book mainly discusses "what kind of man she might find happiness with" (although Henry James also said that she wants to explore life and the world, but the whole book takes the trouble to write about marriage), this film seems to say " She wants to run away from men, no matter who it is." This option was not very feasible in Henry James's time, but in the world around 2,000 years ago, you can see the clues of forming a wave. So the book ends when she gets on the train back to Rome, but the movie ends when she runs away from Mr. Goodwood and grabs the doorknob of Garden Hill to look back.

The first time I watched this film in class, I fell asleep in a hurry. Later, after reading and crying, I felt completely different when I read it again. Exquisite works of JANE. One of the most impressive scenes is the imaginary three people caressing.
