"The World of TM" and "Wayne" are very much like the life I dreamed of living when I was 16. At that time, I always thought about wandering alone, and I was not afraid of encountering gods and ghosts. It's just a dream after all. Actually, I just go hiking a lot. School is 15 minutes away from home, and I can detour over a few hills and take hours to get home. For me at that time, it was a short-lived wandering. Then there is the wandering in the book, the most impressive is "The Catcher in the Rye", our wandering is so short.
In middle school, the math teacher always told us that "the straight line between two points is the shortest", and liked to give us an example, "Just like when you make a dog toss a ball, the dog always runs straight to pick it up, and it is impossible to go around a river and turn over. How about picking up a mountain? It’s like you always take the shortest way home, right?” God damn it, I could only understand it at the time!
