I don't know why everyone is so harsh... Just finished watching the top 2 of my favorite Ghibli animation! Mary is not smart, can't do things, is reckless, and is vain. She is not a very good child, but she is pure and sincere, just like many children growing up. This kind of person is not annoying. Ah, so people around Marie can't help but be gentle with her. Please don't judge this animation or the protagonist's own animation with the standard of the formula. It's normal that the characters in the animation are exaggerated and out of line. It is a bit ridiculous to judge the good and the bad according to the rules of the five good and four beautiful. Overall, it is an animation that really makes me feel warm.
