I found this movie while searching for high-rated movies and had never heard of it before. Although the labels of black and white old movies and prison breaks are not as pleasing as drama, comedy, love, biography, and war, the seductive text introduction is quite eye-catching-"French crime film master Jacques Baker's last classic before his death, Prison Break film. One of the most famous noir films in French film history, a true masterpiece of art. Best Film Award of the French Film Critics Association, BAFTA Award for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Foreign Actor Nomination, Gold at Cannes Film Festival Nominated for the Palme d' or, one of the ten best films of the French "Cinébook"." In a four-person cell in a high-security prison, another newcomer enters. The newcomers had to be informed of an operation that the four felons were about to carry out. The newcomer readily agreed to join, and the five of them started a thrilling and wonderful escape show together.

Many people compare this film with Shawshank, and Shawshank has become the strongest "nail house" film that has been at the top of various lists all year round. It is also a prison break theme, and Shawshank focuses more on the strong soul facing freedom and hope. The story told in "The Hole" only happened in a small space, with almost no exterior scenes. Compared with Shawshank, it pays more attention to the description of extremely fine operation details and character relationships. The core of the five people-technical workers Roland's dazzling and neat series of "saucy" operations, escaped the prison with composure, the heartbeat, and surprises of the people watching, one after another, like a roller coaster-like refreshing experience, As well as the final betrayal and falling short, are the unique charms of this movie that distinguish it from Shawshank. If you want to say it is worse than Shawshank I disagree, if you want to say it is not as good as Shawshank I disagree even more. They are two ends of a world, twin stars shining. Although I knew the ending, when the last moment came without warning, it was still a sudden and unexpected injury.

The most suffocating myocardial infarction scene I have ever seen is the second when the small lens is flipped to the left... The behind-the-scenes story of the film is equally wonderful. The actor of Roland is the prototype character who has successfully escaped many times. The appearance at the beginning of the film also shows that Roland escaped successfully after a few years.
