While Albert Einstein's scientific theories will continue to elude me, they won't stop me from admiring him as a free spirit either in his pursuit of science or in his disdain for taking political stands.
We're awed by the scientist not only for his genius but also for his insistence on being independent, unconventional and even rebellious in thoughts and actions. We're moved by him not only for his desire for freedom and peace but also for his compassion for those who suffer simply for being different and unique.
There's no shame in being different. We all deserve to be treated equally for our individual ways to perceive the true meaning of life and to understand the universe as it is.
