Robin: Look at me. Wake up!
Some dreams are so beautiful that you wake up disappointed. The Futurology Conference frantically shuttles between the virtual and the real, and the more back-and-forths blur the boundary. At the end of the story, some people must be heartbroken. Not to mention whether it is a good work or not, the director is well-intentioned, and every detail seems to be a Hamlet-esque hint, coupled with an open structure, it can be said to maximize the freedom of self.
1. About virtual and reality
It is not easy to distinguish between virtual and reality. Assuming that there are multiple dreams, when a person wakes up from a dream, it is almost impossible to detect whether he has entered the real reality or entered another dream. Therefore, virtual and reality are two relative concepts. Even if you wake up from one dream and enter another dream, the latter dream is reality for this person. The Matrix and Inception are somewhat logical.
2. About kites and planes
The benevolent sees it differently, and the kite may be the romantic symbol of the airplane. The heroine's son is flying a kite on the edge of the airport, and the airport administrator warns: don't cross the line, you know what will happen when you cross the line! This is probably referring to the confusion of virtual and reality, which will produce bad results (the animation part, the kite collided with a plane and became fireworks). Concepts related to flight appear many times in the film, such as flying birds, human hands turning into wings, kites, airplanes, etc., burying the seeds of freedom.
3. About imitation and creation
What is the simulated person formed by scanning the person in all directions? The heroine in the film was copied to the "computer", and the digital heroine replaced the original heroine to shoot various movies. Although the point of the film is not here, it is a question that is intentionally or unintentionally ignored: Is the digital heroine human? Some would say it's a bunch of code, no thought, no creativity. In another scenario, if it is a clone (instead of scan) a person, the answer should not be so obvious.
A dream come true.
