Rudderless

Sam (Billy Crudup) is a successful advertising agency executive who accidentally takes the life of his son Josh (Miles Heizer). The sudden blow sent Sam into despair, and he gave up everything he had, hid in his sailboat, and lived on alcohol every day.
In an accident, Sam accidentally discovered several songs written by Josh before his death. The songs made Sam seem to have returned to the beautiful era when father and son were crazy about music together. Sam decided to let Josh's life continue in music. He learned songs written by his son and played and sang in the bar. Sam's sincere singing attracted a young man named Quentin (Anton Yelchin), and the two hit it off and formed a band to perform songs written by Josh.
