American martial arts

About this work, I really want to say too much, but I still choose not to say anything, and I think it is an American martial arts film performed by all Chinese faces.

Yuan Heping, as a respected "eight master" in the industry, seems to have few excellent works in his directorial works. In fact, it is the best for an old man to be a martial artist. This is proved again in this film.

The core problem of this film lies in the script, especially the extremely poor logic in the motivation of some characters. Coupled with the performances and lip-syncing dubbing of almost all overseas Chinese, the feeling of "martial arts" is completely lost. The mood of the film has been completely replaced by awkward lines, protracted literary drama and meaningless cutscenes, giving people the feeling that the characters in the play are outside the story they tell.

In terms of actors, it may be because of the overseas Chinese. Michelle Yeoh's apprentice, the mixed-race girl who has almost no Chinese temperament, has never been on the list. Zheng Peipei's daughter is okay, mainly relying on Michelle Yeoh and Donnie Yen to prop up the facade.

If we talk about the advantages, the film's New Zealand framing and special effects production, martial arts action design, and the overall tone are not bad.
