Finally, they came to New York and strolled the streets, "This is my first time in New York", "I was 30 years old last time, and now I am 80 years old", "I really hope my wife and children can come here too". The string of beauty these Cuban musicians say reminds me of the Burns documentary in which a Vietnam veteran said he was glad that their children could now go to the United States to learn those beautiful things.
The Cuban flag was raised in Carnegie Hall. Staring at Kennedy's caricature sculpture in the shop window and saying, I don't know who he is, but I remember the face, he was a great leader. Can it be said that music has become a victim of politics? I have no idea. The beauty is true, but so is the brutality of politics and reality.
This revolution is eternal.
(Think of the air crash in Cuba some time ago, because of the long-term US economic sanctions, a plane took 39 years.)
