Courage is resistance to fear,

mastery of fear, not absence of fear.

(Brave is not without fear, but overcoming fear, overcoming fear)

-Mark Twain

To borrow the words of an American writer, we will start today's film review and let us see the demeanor of the "brave".

A typical "popcorn" film, with a compact plot, capable narrative, awkward logic, and a righteous theme.

I, the material is fresh, but not tasty enough

Heist + Hurricane

The seemingly unrelated two are put together, the idea is good and full of new ideas. Unfortunately, good ideas fail to achieve the desired effect.

Due to the lack of funding, it is difficult for the work to show the true power of the hurricane (disaster), and the lack of special effects directly lowers the level of the film. As for the "robbery" (crime), it's pretty decent, except for the villain's slightly lower IQ (routine), everything else is acceptable.

II, the narrative is crisp, but slightly less logical

"Simply" refers to the speed of the progress of the story and the connection of the plot , which is neat and crisp.

From 20 minutes onwards, the film quickly entered the main film, and the robbery began without any sloppyness. Afterwards, the play is divided into two groups: ①Perkins robbers and ②Will and Casey rescue team. There is not much to say about the plot after that, except "Police Chief Dixon tried to 'black eat black', but was killed by Perkins", this bridge is a small surprise, the rest (including the ending) is relatively ordinary .

"Poor logic" refers to the setting of villains and the use of story "routines", which is simply the lower limit of IQ . Let's look at a few clips together.

1. The inexplicable robber leader

Perkins insists on pursuing "zero casualties" (in other words, "the protagonist can't kill")

2. Dr. of Meteorology

The unarmed frontal character Will VS the robber with a machine gun, the result is not unexpected, Will wins, and the robber is helplessly killed by the hub

3. Breeze, the open-hung electrician

a, in front of the hurricane, the robbers were all blown away, only one of the three main characters, Breeze, remained standing, too deliberately

b. After being electrocuted, he is still full of energy (think he is "Thor"?)

4. The Law of the Protagonist

At the end of the film, except for Will, Casey, and Breeze, who successfully drove the cash truck to escape the hurricane, the rest of the people, whether good or bad, all died. The protagonist is king! what logic? !

III, the theme is upright, but overly deliberate

The protagonist has unlimited IQ, and the villain has a lower IQ;

The weather is bad, but the protagonist's halo is dazzling, and the magical power protects the body;

The weather is bad, and the villain is ravaged at will, and it is not acceptable to refuse;

The protagonist unites as one, and the villain intrigues;

The protagonist has both strength and luck, and the villain wants nothing and is stupid.

It's not easy being a villain these days!

Today's review is over, see you next time.

Director ★★★☆☆ (Rob Cohen, veteran director, his works are basically flawless)

Actor ★★☆☆☆ (Ralph Ineson does a good job, other characters are too fake)

Plot ★★☆☆☆ (The idea is good, but in the narrative process, there is a lot of routine content)

Visual effects ★★★☆☆ (The texture of the picture is good, although it is a small cost, but the mood of the hurricane is finally shown)

Sound ★★☆☆☆ (weak)

Recommendation ★★★☆☆ (Besides busy work, you can choose to take a look, no brain, no distraction, refreshing and clean)
