After watching various movies where children are demons, zucchini can be said to have saved my impression of children's "evil nature".
What impressed me the most was the envious eyes they looked at the children kissed by their mothers at the ski resort. At that moment, I really hoped that every child who was slandered by fate like them would be cared for and not so lonely.
But in fact, compared to zucchini, I personally feel that the most successful character creation is Simon. He is always provoking things and testing the bottom line of others; he is always mischievous and puts his mood in the worst column; but when he receives letters from his parents, he can only hide in the corner, and he does not even have the courage to open the envelope. He used rebellion to cover up his inner loneliness, and always regarded himself as the boss, but he was still a child after all. The most impressive thing is that after the Zucchini and Camille were sent away, everyone stood at the door sadly and watched their backs leave. Simon joked that whoever ran back to the room last would wash his underwear for a lifetime. . After everyone dispersed, he silently looked into the distance for a long time, and then closed the door. That scene really hurt me. The other children are still very young and may be happy again because of a few fun games, but Simon will probably be sad for a long time.
Looking at the angles mentioned in some film reviews, it easily reminds me of "The Hunt for the Barbarians". I didn't choose the life of crime, it was the life of crime that chose me. If everyone's life is a continuation of childhood, then we may not blame them, as in the case of the mother-killing case of a twelve-year-old boy who recently made a lot of noise. Behind a tragedy, there are often more small tragedies. The more I watch movies like this, the less I dare to raise a child. It is easy to give birth, but so difficult to raise. How can I be sure that I am a qualified parent? Those inadvertent injuries, for their fragile childhood, may be engraved in the character, a shadow for a lifetime.
At the end, Zucchini and Camille's timid reactions to seeing how happy their room was, reminded me of the abandoned cat effect. Maybe even more for people, I really hope they can get more unconditional love, no matter what character flaws they have left after going through the cruel past, there will be people who love them regardless.
Finally, to all the children of the Ark, I wish you happiness.
Ps After watching this movie, I once again recalled the idea that I had a long time ago. One day I'm going to make a gingerbread house and a lot of gingerbread men before Christmas, and take them to visit the orphanage kids at Christmas. I hope I can bring them warmth, even if only a little.
