In the play, the two Howards alternate with each other, with disgust and jealousy in each other's lives. In fact, Howard in the "our" world has long known that his wife is cheating and has a secret, but when he walked into another parallel world and saw his real agent wife, he was still puzzled. He didn't know the one he loved. who is it? In his original world, he accepted to lie to his wife, and it was the agent's wife standing in front of him. And Emily seems to have seen through everything after the relationship broke up, you only love what you want her to be, the real she doesn't matter.
