The biggest feeling of this American drama is that it depicts New York in the 1970s in a very close and true manner. The economy was slightly sluggish, and nightlife such as sex, drugs, guns and bars were the mainstream culture in New York at that time. It was during this period that hiphop music began to develop. Growing up, the so-called era makes heroes.

As a bartender, Vincent, with his love for the industry, keen insight and honesty, plus the family pressure of his wife's cheating brother who gambled money and debts all day long, after meeting Bole Rudy, he won his career. Gao Feng started a bar with decent income. During the process of starting a business, he also met Abby, a girl with online EQ, IQ and looks. It can be said that he lived a pretty good life in society at that time.

Some friends said that Vin was a little stubborn, maybe it was because Vin would never take over Rudy's brothel business, even if it made him rich. However, I think Vin is his excellence. There are principles and bottom lines in being a person and doing things, and he will never touch anything beyond the principles and bottom lines.

The life experiences of street girls occupy most of the film, which is indeed sympathetic, because the money is because of family or because they really like this industry. How to charge for half-mouth sex, etc. are all clearly priced, but people often say that bitches and ruthless actors have no intention of being here, but it does not hold true, at least these street girls are affectionate and righteous, more than those who do their own thing and do their own thing. The so-called decent people are stronger than a little bit.

In fact, my favorite is not vin, but his trashy brother frank, I like to gamble, then I gamble, it doesn't matter where you live, it doesn't matter if you live in debt all day long, any time I grin at life, fuck everybody!

If you want to understand New York in the 1970s, and you want to know why hiphop music has words like drugs, guns, and prostitutes, watch this show.
