The reason why this movie that doesn't seem to be very good is on my list is because it is the work of Woody Allen.
It's not that I like Woody Allen's work very much. Sometimes looking back at it, it seems nagging and contrived, and sometimes it's boring, but he is prolific and he also shoots his own French style, and he also shaped a lot of classics, so If you talk about movie appreciation, you can't get around him. And this is a very typical Woody Allen play, with dramatic tone changes to highlight the characters' situations, chattering lines and occasional golden sentences, satire on reality and pessimistic views on marriage.
Trapped in the siege of life, it is easy to be attracted by the lives of others. This is a tragedy caused by the weakness of human nature, and on the other hand, it also comes from the impermanence of fate, just like the Ferris wheel. Non-stop ups and downs, playing the tragicomedy of life.
In addition to the Ferris wheel, another important object is "fire". Everyone in the story has a fire in their hearts, but they are all smothered by trivial life. The only thing that hasn't changed is that the children in the movie were beaten by Hadim and consulted by a psychiatrist. By the end of the story, he still skipped classes to steal money to watch movies, and set fire to things when he had nothing to do. For life, perhaps there should be more so-called obsessions to maintain the fire in my heart.
