God's own country
The translated name in China is "God's Kingdom", so that when I share it with my friends, they immediately think of "God's City". This is of course not a bloody film about the mafia, but a chilling British rural scenery (base) film. If I haven't seen Brokeback Mountain, I may have a more comfortable viewing experience. I was fortunate enough to watch this movie in the cinema. I have always felt that watching the movie alone is a good experience. It is full of immersive feelings. All emotions are wrapped in the movie. Very sweet, the next second and sad tears. A lot of people came to this movie, especially the pair of male lovers sitting next to me. I felt that it was really sweet that they could watch such a movie together. I was also very happy to change seats with them and let them sit together.
Apart from the films about living freely in the beautiful nature, I have never been fond of nature and animal themes. I wasn't even interested in this film after watching the trailer. I didn't expect it to be so amazing after watching it. Once again, it shows that the fragments of the movie cannot show the charm of the whole movie. Only when you are completely in the plot can you have a smooth viewing experience.
Like CMBYN, the story is based on the "family project" to find an outsider, so the feelings that arise. Such exotic elements make the whole story very fascinating. The excitement of living with the family, the emotion that I thought was not discovered, but in fact, the emotions that were revealed inadvertently when we got along day and night, brought the family's topic of same-sex love into the film naturally. The points that strike me in the film seem to have nothing to do with same-sex love. Let me think carefully about the part I love so much.
·Natural wildness
The gray-blue tone is the color that the United Kingdom should have, and the color in the film is also the same. Delivering baby lambs, building fences, and herding sheep are not common in daily urban life. Eating instant noodles around a bonfire and chatting with the lambs seems like a carefree life. In fact, the male protagonist has lost his direction. Being different from the life in the city makes the whole film look comfortable, and I want to go to such a farm for a while.
·Learn to Love
I don't know what Johnny's original life was like. From the beginning, he was a person who lost his desire for life, was irritable, alcoholic, had no love, and had low self-esteem. He knew he was a loser, but he couldn't save himself in such an environment. Fortunately, the warm and furry Gheorghe came to him. At the beginning, Johnny was still unfriendly and hostile to the outsider, but in the daily life and the solitude on the mountain, he had a "desire" for Gheorghe. At this time, Johnny has not changed. He just wants to vent his lust on this foreign "Gypsy". "Love" is insignificant to him. Sex on the lawn is wild and raw, like a fight, but a temptation to surrender. Gheorghe tried to kiss him, but Johnny resisted.
Did not expect it, Gheorghe is such a gentle person. He would caress Johnny's cheek and slink in for a kiss. first kiss. Johnny was surprised. He stopped and was stunned. Maybe he never thought that sex could carry such love. When he figured it out in five seconds, he continued to kiss. (It’s too sweet.) Johnny will gradually fall in love, will share food, go swimming in the pond together (there is also a plot in CMBYN hh), and see the scenery on the hillside every day. I didn’t expect that because of having a lover, it would change. so beautiful.
Gheorghe's intrusion made Johnny feel sweet and changed, but at the same time he was nervous. He wondered if Gheorghe should be kept and how the future would be different, would it be a good thing to run the farm together. He panicked, and he wanted to escape again for a moment, to escape back to his previous loser state, and if he was drunk again, he wouldn't need to think about anything. Johnny and the other boys started having meaningless sex again, and of course Gheorghe saw it. Lover is gone. When the person he loves leaves the church, he will find it reluctant.
·Someone to Love
Maybe it's because I don't have anyone I love right now, but I was particularly touched by this passage. Johnny, who lost Gheorghe, became very sensible and learned to take care of everything at home. He didn't go out to drink or casual sex, but at night he lost his soul and cried while hugging Gheorghe's sweater. If there is love in your heart, you will really be very happy. If you don't have it, even if you are happy during the day or have a very busy life, once you stop, you will feel empty. Eternity is a difficult proposition, but if it is nothingness, it is unbearable, so I would rather have this paragraph of joy, even if it does not last forever, it is not pure blankness. Always need love, and crying for a hug. I don't know when I love hugs, no matter who it is, I feel very relieved to hug. But if it wasn't for the lover's hug, it wouldn't be very solid, and I often felt that in such a big city, I couldn't find a person who could hug each other tightly.
