Goodbye children. Hi my dear friend

After watching the movie, I feel very stuck... I don't know where to start... This movie describes too much, the friendship and ignorant love that a child's world should have, joy and disputes, bullying and maintenance, curiosity about the unknown and Fear, persistence and betrayal of "friends", incomprehension of wars, factions, and politics think.

The director takes two children as the main line, and takes France, which was invaded by Germany in World War II, as the background, and describes the children's life at school. Children from two different countries, different backgrounds and different religious beliefs, from strangers to mutual attraction, to become confidants to forced separation.

In the whole story, there are several plots that are more impressive:

One is when Julien began to pay attention to Bonnet, watching Bonnet solve problems and play the piano, two equally talented, thinking young people cherish each other, often starting from the same hobbies~

The other is that Julien was shocked when he found out that Bonnet was Jewish, and the second shot switched to a militia to search, but he didn't tell anyone, including his brother. After Julien checked with Bonnet and confirmed that he was Jewish, Julien asked his brother who was a Jew? Why is everyone against them? The older brother replied because they are smarter than us. In fact, my brother doesn't know why the Germans murdered the Jews... In fact, it was never religion or race itself that was wrong... It was only the misunderstandings and obsessions of people of different beliefs.

There are also a few episodes that made a deep impression. One was on the parent's day. The priest said a paragraph: We live in an age of hatred and hatred, lies are omnipotent, Christians kill each other, and those who should lead us betray us. , we must guard against selfishness and indifference more than ever. You are all wealthy families and have been given a lot, so much will be required of you. You are rich now, but unfortunate tears and wailing await you. Your wealth has been rotten, and your fine clothes have been eaten by insects. The wealth of this world degrades the soul, wilts the soul, and makes people have no regrets for selfishness. When the rich raise their glasses, I can understand the anger of those who have no one. Fraternity is the primary responsibility of Christians, let us pray for the victims... This passage deeply flogs the erring soul and comforts Bonnet who is waiting for redemption. I have to say here that I really like Julien's mother very much. She is a mature, graceful, tolerant and beautiful woman. How could anyone not pay attention to such a woman?

Another plot is that the movie highlights the scenes of the lame helper being bullied in many places, and the "betrayer" who finally told the Germans that there were Jews in the school was the helper... This is in line with the background of the story in which France succumbed to the German army and the French militia blocked the Jews. Correspondingly, in addition, the lame cook is like France, which was weak at the time and had to surrender. However, at the same time as being invaded, there were still hierarchies and bullying within the country; at the same time, on the parent's day, Julien's mother brought three children. In a restaurant where Jews are prohibited from entering, they were raided by two French soldiers, who unreasonably told a gentleman Jew to "get out", but were finally roared out of the restaurant by the German soldiers, which is a contrast.

Immediately after the parent's day, the clip of the school's movie was played, and Chaplin's movie was played. Chaplin was a Jew. By playing this movie, the idea of the priest's school against the slaughter of Jews was also expressed. Playing the movie is undoubtedly a very happy memory for the students, and this memory is just linked to the story of the restaurant. This kind of emotion is going on, grasping the psychology of the audience.

The next most lingering thing is the two paragraphs that echo the most in my opinion,

Julien asked a friend: What day is it today?

Friend replied: Thursday, January 17

Julien: Did you realize that there would never be another January 17, 1944? In another 40 years, half of these guys will be dead and buried...

At the end, everyone reluctantly said goodbye to the priest. The priest looked back at the children and said: Goodbye, children. The story ended like this... With the last sentence of the priest, the title of the film was introduced, and it also brought out the helplessness and sadness. Some children were taken away...some children remained...two little boys of different nationalities were separated...

The whole film ends with Julien's narration 40 years later, three children and a priest who died in two concentration camps... "It's been more than 40 years since the school reopened in October 1944, but I will remember that 1 Every second of the morning..." But I can't go back to that day, that morning...

Bonnet
Julien

Taking Julien's tearful eyes as the ending... In addition to being unhappy, I am still unhappy... The little friend was taken away like this... At first, everything was fine, obviously it was just in class, but everything suddenly changed in the next second... And It will never come back... I hope it wasn't an era of war, I hope it was just a nightmare, I hope there are no informers, I hope everyone can live happily all the time... However, it is a pity that there is no such thing, when we are anxious While living comfortably, there are still wars, bullying, and unpleasant things that no one expects in the corners of the world...

There are still too many details in the movie, and there is no way to tell them one by one. I have to admire the director's meticulous and step-by-step descriptions and characterizations. The story is very vivid and plain, simple but unforgettable. Sometimes I don't like watching such movies, this sad feeling will always last for a long time, and it will intensify... It feels like it's a sleepless night again...
