I think the two are pretty similar

The difference is that Esme ended the war in Twilight and started a dispute in The Gifted.
In Twilight, the war doesn't begin, the imaginary phase ends, and everyone is at peace. Humans transformed into vampires.
Different races can live in peace. This is in the case of one party making concessions, vampires need not to hurt people, and vampires need checks and balances. Vampires concede on the premise that they can live forever.
So, what about "The Talented"? Who should give in? Who will check and balance? Mutants can also get injured and die, so who's going to budge?
