UPDATE - Best Actor at the Golden Globes, hilarious that my review was written before the awards - well deserved!
I haven't seen a lot of Michael Douglas's dramas, but the one that impressed me the most is Instinct - Basic Instinct. His Bambi-like eyes are very entertaining.
In Hollywood, he is known as Hollywood royalty - his father is the best actor, he is the best actor, his wife is the actress and he is always on the list of the most beautiful people in the world.
But when I clicked on the drama with this strange name, I was still shocked when I saw him with silver hair at first glance. In the eyes of the Chinese people, the matter of full silver hair is completely equivalent to aging. Which leader of our country does not dye his hair black. In European and American countries, men rarely dye their hair to cover their gray hair, and many people have very light hair color. The transition from light color to white can actually happen in their 30s. That's how I understand why so many people thought Clinton was so sexy in the 90s, when I was a little kid I thought his silver hair was ugly - they were only in their 40s at the time!
So I took a closer look at Michael Douglas, who was recovering from cancer at the age of 75. Wrinkles are normal wrinkles in his 70s, but his skin is actually very good. She's a bit skinny but still pretty standard. Hair is not bald. The most important thing is that his eyes - those clear eyes - have not changed.
When I described his lecturing state in the first few minutes of the first episode, I was almost certain that this drama was all about posturing. But as the plot unfolded, the two old friends lost each other, and the humor gradually joined in, I suddenly found out that this was a very clever drama and decided to chase it.
Lots of funny episodes:
· For example, Norman doesn't know how to read text messages and make calls at the same time, so he needs to hang up several times
· For example, Norman went to his own company but couldn't understand the latest news and whispered to the secretary - you wait and tell me
· Such as a wonderful funeral
· Like his comparison with his daughter Mindy (and the gap – is she really his daughter)
Personally, what I think is a little bit of a failure is Norman's daughter's acting skills - these dramas where Dr Cuddy has guest appearances, from Good Doctors to here, lack of acting skills is exaggerated, and she is still doing things that children do at such a young age, the plot feels a bit old old.
Compared with The Wife Club (another old man's counterattack starring the legendary goddess Jane Fonda from a female perspective), this drama has more interesting dialogue and tighter plots. Sometimes you need to pause and think that this is an old age. After all, there are very few dramas that can give people over 70+ the protagonist. Fortunately for our age, although most of the dramas are only young and beautiful, there is still room for everyone to celebrate his existence.
Norman's actor is 84 years old! It seems that we still have a long way to go. Chuck Lorre's level of humor is a lot higher than The Big Bang Theory.
In short, Michael Douglas, even at 74, is still Michael Fxxxing Douglas.
