I really like this sad comedy. The last drama with such a feeling was probably the Centennial Tavern.
The friendship of two old men is the real old man. Facing aging, facing various health problems, facing the death of a partner, facing children's problems, facing financial problems... The essence of all this is obviously sad, but it is narrated in a humorous tone. Come out, very, very good.
My favorite and the deepest impression is actually the funeral at the beginning. It's the old man's mourning for his partner: I still can't accept it, and honestly don't know how to live. So sad, so heart-wrenching, we all have to go through it.
Probably, the essence of life is sadness, and all living beings suffer.
