The origin of Kominsky's theory comes from the wisdom developed after being honed by life.
These life experiences (or teachings) accumulated over the years are integrated into a series of conversations. Here, the words of wisdom are sometimes vicious or tender, and even in the face of the big questions of life, the answer is more often silent.
One may have a lifetime of wisdom but may not be able to face all the things of old age gracefully or better, like so many people entering old age, like Sand and Norman. People can never give a standard answer to "oldness". Youth is full of vigor, life has infinite possibilities, married life beautifully, and has colorful imaginations about the future; while old, brightly shows decay and various inconveniences, like attending a long and bleak funeral, watching. It seems that there is everything but the dead line is ahead, including the body or the people and things around it, which are filled with depression from time to time, which is uninspiring.
Sandy, a former star with three failed marriages, has a smart and reliable daughter who helps him run an actor training class. He makes a living by teaching acting classes, thinking that he can hope to become popular again, and he is full of energy. The land does not accept the old; his friend and manager, Norman, had a good wife but left before him. Since then, he has lost the axis of his life. When he is troubled or wants to share, he can only talk through the phantom of his wife. Their 45-year-old My daughter is a drug addict, and the one that doesn't make people worry about everything, often makes him angry with the old man.
The two of them have reached the age that people call "living in their youth", but it seems that everything is not going their way, and every day is terrible. As if fate is shouting: "Old" is not an easy thing. And the "Kominsky Theory" is to photograph these not simple, humorous, bitter, and somewhat warm feelings about old age. This film is not a surprising masterpiece, (although the director, screenwriter and actors are all star-studded), but it is simple, small and ordinary. The plot is as light as tea, and Hui Ganli also brings the choking and spicy that belongs to the elderly.
Remember the segment from the acting class in the first episode, where the young actor imitates the "successful way others have expressed their grief." However, such a performance is very tricky and difficult to really move people's hearts, and it is easy to get embarrassed and borrowed from the shadow of the screen. Because people's emotional expression is unique, the emotion under the form is the commonality of being a human being, and the most wonderful echo is the sadness shown by Norman, Sandy, Lisa and Mindy when Eileen passed away. Sandy said: Acting is to expand life, but also from life, and we must live more consciously. Because when faced with a fact, a hundred people will have a hundred ways of interpretation. This is also the most difficult and the most beautiful place between people.
"Kominsky Theory" is more about expressing "oldness" and discussing "oldness". In this fast and youthful generation, people and things that are getting old are often ignored in this world. This neglect creates many old people. And hesitant people.
But who doesn't get old?
It is undoubtedly the best gift for us now to have such a drama tell the "old things" delicately. Even though having wisdom won't get us over all the mountains of old age in front of us, it can comfort our souls and choose better emotions to face the road ahead.
""Young" is not the result of your hard work, and "old" is not a punishment for what I did wrong. ""__The movie "Yin Jiao"
