Her life is ephemeral, but her impact is eternal. When she was fifteen, she has nothing. However, when she left the world, she has full tears of the world. She is Avita—the first lady of Argentina, forever.
The 135 minutes showed the brief but legendary life of Avita. When she was little, she was prohibited to seeing last glimpse of her father, just she was poor and humble, which laid the groundwork of her realized dream in the future—to be one of the powerful people in Argentina. Therefore, when she followed a popular singer to Buenos Aires who abandoned her last, she didn't flinch and successfully became a social butterfly in the upper circle. After that, she met Peron who is a promising political man at a charity event and married him. After she became the first lady, she run through the waves and toiled the rocks for the poor for her entire life. And that's why all people cried when she passed away at such young age.
I am deeply touched. She is certainly one of the greatest women in the world. She has the beauty envied by others, the ambition disappeared on others, the mighty not reached by others. To be honest, she should be our model. Maybe it's not absolutely correct that she makes use of men to reach her goals, but I do agree that we can't blame her for that is equal and ordinary in such exchanges during the long history. And I am happy to know that Peron loved her, and she owned a true lover in the end. Otherwise, she would be a lonely and miserable woman though the whole country loved her.
We can't imitate her to devote all ourselves to the poor, but we could do imitate her venerable spirit—wait with hope, breakthrough with resolution. Most of us are trapped in our ordinary lives, drifting along aimlessly. We feel easy with the unchanged lives but uneasy with the changeable lives, reluctant to wake up. Sometimes we desire success strongly, however, we just wait with no effort. Of course, that's wrong. Avita tells us with her entire life that we should wait with hope when we are defeated by the momentary reality, and seek breakthrough with our resolution keeping hard until we succeed. She gives us a useful lesson we all need.
Glad I see this great movie, sad I see it so late.
Translation:
To an unfortunate great man
Although her life was short, her exploits lasted forever. When she was a 15-year-old girl, she had nothing; but when she died, she won the respect of the whole world. She is the eternal mother of Argentina, Eva Evita.
The 135-minute film follows Evita's short but storied life. When she was a little girl, she wanted to see her father one last time, but was ridiculed and driven away by the upper echelons. Looking at her father's distant coffin, she vowed that she would change all this, and that she would let the poor live well and with dignity. At the age of 15, she met a famous singer by chance, and then went to the capital Buenos Aires to work hard. But the singer abandoned her, and she wandered the streets with nothing. But she did not give in. With her beauty, she gradually entered the upper class and became a famous courtesan. And with the help of those men, he managed to become a big star. At a charity dinner, Evita met Veron, they quickly fell in love, and Evita also helped Veron escape prison, win the election, and become president. After becoming the first lady, she worked hard for the poor and devoted herself to Argentina. Of course, she paid a price for it. She died of cancer at the age of 33, and the whole country mourned.
After watching this movie, I was deeply moved. She is without a doubt one of the greatest women. She has enviable beauty, retreating ambition, and admirable abilities. Honestly, she should be a role model for all of us. Of course, the men and women she said in the film are just using each other and getting what they need is biased. But as far as the long history of China and foreign countries is concerned, this is an unchanging truth. Fortunately, at the end of the movie, she and her husband Veron truly love each other, and he accompanies her through the last period of time, an ordinary time that belongs only to them. She walked regretfully but peacefully, and she really should have a rest.
We may not be able to dedicate our lives to the poor like her, but we can learn from her respectable spirit - waiting for opportunities with hope and breaking through without hesitation. After all, most of us are trapped in a dull, unchanging ordinary life. We are afraid of change and settle for the status quo. Sometimes we also want to be successful, but we end up just pointlessly waiting for the opportunity to come. Of course, this is extremely wrong. Evita's own experience tells us that instead of being overwhelmed by temporary setbacks and waiting hopelessly, we must keep our feet on the ground and look for breakthroughs and work hard until we succeed. This is what we should learn, and Evita gave us a lively and practical lesson.
Although it's a bit of a pity to watch this movie so late, I'm glad I did. \i
