Multiple "paradoxes"

After reading the third part of the Clover series, I am amazed at the very big brain holes and paradox settings, especially the paradoxical display of parallel universes. This is a very good space science fiction movie!

(The Cloverfield trilogy is linked, here is a compilation of information the director put online when the Cloverfield archives: http://blog.renren.com/share/228955122/3369271766 , without this information, Cloverfield Worldview is hard to understand)

(It can be seen that the energy depletion in this film is related to the Tagruato company, and the SLUSHO that the astronauts drink! Drinks have side effects, which is probably the reason why some characters are impulsive and irritable from time to time)

Personally, I understand that the paradox in this movie is multiple. The objectively existing "Cloverfield Paradox effect" causes the spacecraft to enter another universe after the collision of particles; the incredible paradox generated by the natural laws of different universes; And the paradox of human nature that stunned me the most in the second half, embodied in the idea of the surviving crew of an alternate universe

The plot of the film is smooth and conflicting, and it is very innovative. The ending should echo the first one. Without spoilers, it can only be said that the ending is very tragic.

After reading the Clover files, I found this third part. I didn't expect the rating to be so low. Although the actors' acting skills and some of the plots are flawed (the Chinese pronunciation in the film), the flaws are not hidden, the sci-fi setting is different, and the brain hole makes So convincing, this "Cloverfield Paradox" is definitely a sci-fi thriller movie worth watching.

Looking forward to more surprises from the Clover series

The Cloverfield Paradox quotes

  • Newscaster: Why does the Shepard Accelerator worry you so much?

Mark Stambler: Because that accelerator is a thousand times more powerful than any ever built. Every time they test it, they risk open the membrane of space-time, smashing together multiple dimensions, shattering reality. And not just on that station, everywhere. This experiment could unleash chaos, the like of which we have never seen. Monsters, demons, beasts from the sea...

Newscaster: To clarify, you believe their efforts to solve the energy crisis might unleash demons?

Mark Stambler: Yeah. Oh, yeah. And not just here and now. In the past, in the future, in other dimensions. You have no idea I would love to be wrong about that.

Kiel: Monk, turn that shit off.

  • Michael: Did he ask you?

Hamilton: I'm not leaving you. That mission could be years.

Michael: You said you could be back in six months.

Hamilton: Do you want me to go?

Michael: Joe knows what we've been through. And yet, he still wants you on the crew.

Hamilton: There are other comm officers.

Michael: Yeah, but he called you.

Hamilton: Why are you pushing this?

Michael: Why do you think? Forget about me and what I want, which is for you to stay. Why do you think?

Hamilton: Because you're sweet. Because people are starving. Because our energy supplies are running out. And this mission could unlock an endless supply of power that could save us all.

Michael: If you go... you and I... we'll survive. I'm afraid if you don't... no one will.
