At the very beginning of the plot, I couldn't help but think of "Lost in Translation".
In contrast, this animation is not as attractive as the former part about love at first sight, but it feels very strange and a little terrifying. But his depiction of the male protagonist's loneliness and incompatibility is really great, great, great. The stiffness and sluggishness brought by the stop-motion animation fit unexpectedly with the characters' thoughts and feelings, but the details such as eyebrows, eyes, and fingertips are extraordinarily delicate and real. The most interesting is the dialogue and dubbing. The ironic humor in the context and the chaotic feeling brought by the dubbing of the other characters except the heroine are the biggest highlights. My favorite part is the speech by the male protagonist at the end of the plot. A machine that has long been hollowed out in front of me breaks down little by little, causing a lot of thinking.
A "horror" movie that makes people feel a lot.
