The story is very direct and rude. A good doctor loses his wife, and the justice is incompetent, so he uses a gun to bring justice to the streets.
The director's point of view is very clear, direct and one-sided, that it is reasonable to hold a gun, the police are incompetent, and self-defense is justified.
If you can accept this point of view, or at least not struggle with it, it is a very cool and enjoyable work of violent aesthetics.
If you feel that this point of view is wrong or will be disgusted by this point of view, then it is best not to go to the cinema and find it unhappy.
Because there is nothing objective at all, it is a unilateral interpretation of a point of view. If you want to discuss street justice, it is better to read Marvel's comic "The Punisher".
I think self-defense with a gun is a joke anyway.
