"The Band's Visit"

This is a slightly dull movie.

This is a story about an Egyptian band that not many people know about, because they are not that important after all.

A story about a group of mortals who are too ordinary to be ordinary. Because of this, it is more like a clip of our life to play.

Unsatisfactory life is in all likelihood, as if unsatisfactory is the main theme of life, and wishful thinking is a rare gift. Even so pessimistic, he does not give up on life and struggles alone every day. There is no such thing as "pleasure and enmity". The ordinary life of ordinary people is a bottomless pool of stagnant water.

Every frame in the film is an old grainy picture, there are not many bright colors, and there are no young band members, which makes the team even more unpopular.

In current words, this is a pheasant band that ran out of nowhere.

When they arrived, no one picked up the plane, they made no phone calls themselves, and they made a mistake in asking others for directions, and ended up in the wrong place. The lack of funds even made food a problem, and it was finally solved with the help of the restaurant owner.
The next bus will come tomorrow morning, and they can only spend one night here.

Of the eight members, the lady boss took in two, the uncle took in three, and the other three stayed in the store temporarily with the shy guy.

The story of the friction and collision between the Egyptian orchestra and the local Israelis is told in a straightforward manner.

Uncle Itzik's side, today happened to be his wife's birthday, and the three foreign guests he brought back were not well received by his wife.

The strained marital relationship between the two is evident.

During the dinner table conversation, it seemed that Itzik used to have his own career hobbies, but then he gradually gave up because of family chores. His wife was quite reluctant about it, and she expressed strong dissatisfaction with Itzik's inaction.

Another uncle at the dinner table was in a similar situation. He talked to the orchestra about the romance between him and her wife, but it didn't resonate with her much. She was just impatient.

The two couples, after the marriage has come to the back, no longer have much of the passion of the past, and the rest is to compromise, each complaining about the other side, venting all the grievances of life on the other side, endlessly. It seems that marriages are similar everywhere.

However, at the beginning, they also had a sweet time, and each was full of expectations for the future of both parties. But the fading of love always goes on quietly.

Itzik said that love, perhaps like the end of a performance, may not be accompanied by the vigorous stop of the drum, but it may come to an abrupt end, neither sad nor happy. It might just disappear in this room, in this lamp, in this bed, in the sleeping child, and in... endless loneliness.

In contrast, the young man who has not yet entered the palace of marriage is still full of longing for love.

The guy in a white sweater stayed beside the phone every night and waited for his girlfriend's call. When someone called on the phone, he whistled next to him to interfere, for fear that his girlfriend would call in during this period. His behavior was really childish. And cute.

The Egyptian guy made the phone calls cautiously, very much like this guy in white, presumably everyone is "the same people".

The two of them are ignorant and jerky in the face of love, just like many men and women, the two share the trivial things in life with each other, and can't wait to reveal themselves completely in front of each other, so that they can see their hearts clearly.

I remembered a passage in the besieged city, "Marriage is like a besieged city, people outside want to go in, people inside want to come out."

papi and three of the band members stayed at the restaurant to rest.

In the evening, papi asked someone to go out for a walk, and when he went out, he happened to meet Haled who couldn't sleep. Haled wanted to go with him, papi hesitated and was very reluctant, and finally found out that he had an appointment with a girl and didn't want a light bulb, haha...

The papi in the movie is really a straight man of steel, I don't know how to get along with girls, no Like Haled, you can flirt with someone at any time.

They went to the ice skating rink together. Haled and papi were both not good at skating. The other girl took the initiative to come over and said she wanted to teach papi by hand. Who knew that papi refused ruthlessly and even flipped the girl to the ground while pulling.

In the end, the girl cried, and papi had nothing to do. Haled was still there to guide the teaching, and taught papi to coax the girl back.

The proprietress, she went out to hang out with the head of the band, and the two spent a good time together.

In this pleasant atmosphere, they chatted about their past events and talked about the head's wife.

His wife passed away three years ago. Speaking of the departure of his wife, the head of the regiment can still maintain his demeanor calmly, but when the proprietress asked about the head of the regiment's children, his face froze and he couldn't continue the topic.

It seems that the death of the only son has hit him even more severely, so much so that he can't get out of it until now.

On the way back, the head of the regiment took the initiative to mention his only son again in order to alleviate the boss's self-blame.

He originally had a wise and excellent son, who used to be his pride. But then he made a mistake, and he never understood what his son had done, or even harshly chastised him. In the end, his son left this world by suicide. His wife suffered a severe blow, and finally died in depression.

There are only a few words to speak, but probably only the parties involved can feel the sadness.

These things have always been hidden in the secret corners of the head of the regiment. Today, I took the initiative to share my thoughts with the proprietress, which invisibly brought the relationship between the two closer.

However, that night, when he saw the secret love between the proprietress and Haled, the joy that had just sprouted in his heart was gone in the end, and finally he just gently pulled the corner of his mouth, seemingly helpless and self-deprecating.

The next day, the band said goodbye to the crowd in the restaurant and rushed to the performance.

Staying here for one night, the two sides meet for a short time, parting today, may not meet again in the future. They are each other's hurried passers-by, and they are destined to take a journey, and then continue their own lives.

Yesterday's involvement, in the end, is a memory, nothing more.

Whether it is Italik who is on the verge of marriage, papi who is on the way to marriage, or the proprietress who has left the marriage, they all found their shadow in the band. The other party doesn't need to do anything, as long as he gently breaks into his own life like this, shares the fragments of his own life, and gives short-term emotional dependence.

Today's life is still ordinary and thorny, and sometimes life is too tragic, so anyone who can reap a little sweetness must strive to sublimate it into a comfort in life. People, just like to "make fun of hardships", no matter how disappointed or helpless, they will continue to struggle and continue. Probably this is one of the ways people love life.

The orchestra finally successfully completed the performance, ending the journey with a movement.
