Two stars for the story, one star for Dolan's photography and acting, I have to say that this is the one that I don't like the most in all of Dolan's works. To be honest, I also really hope that someone will slap me in the face and tell me this How wonderful the story is;
I can see Dolan's ambition and the emotions this story is trying to show is complex and rich
From the perspective of the male protagonist who is out all year round, it shows the contradictions and frictions within a family, the collision between the male protagonist and the various members of the family, and the inner struggle of the male protagonist.
But the problem is that in just 90 minutes, after subtracting a lot of foreshadowing, the part of the family quarrel seems abrupt and unnatural; it is difficult to show such a large story system in such a short period of time; Lawrence" and "Mommy", Dolan's new film is a bit tasteless
Although I don't like this movie, my liking for Dolan has not changed, and I will continue to watch the next movie.
Looking forward to Dolan's new movie
