The third installment of the Cloverfield series, I have been interested in this series since the first Cloverfield Archives in the series. The first installment is very attractive in terms of its monster theme and pseudo-documentary. This setting has directly become a sci-fi thriller, and it is also related to the first one. In order to solve the energy crisis, scientists collided particles in the space station, resulting in a series of strange events that connected the two universes. The story is simple but there are many grooves, the emotional line is weak and weak, and many details of the plot are more casual. The motives of the people's face paintings are ambiguous and unclear. Zhang Ziyi's text-style lines throughout the whole process are very entertaining. Everyone speaks English, but she speaks Chinese (ಥ_ಥ), and if the actors' Chinese has no subtitles, I can't understand a single sentence, only Daniel Buzz Ruhr's "shit"...
Only "Zemo" Daniel Brewer in "Captain America 3" and "Ayesha" Elizabeth Debicki in "Silver 2" performed well in the whole film.
But aside from the pitfalls, there are still remarkable things to note. The multiverse collides, the interpenetration and the setting of the multidimensional universe are quite interesting. The suspenseful atmosphere is well created, and there is also the expression of fear of the unknown (a bit of Cthulhu flavor). These two points are also reflected in the first and second parts. If you use snacks and craft it carefully, you can really Be a great series.
Although the quality and rating of the film have been declining, no matter what, I still hope that the next film (which has been filmed) can improve the quality. After all, this series still has great potential.
