In 2011, a South Korean movie "The Furnace" based on a real school sexual violence case caused social shock after its release, promoted the reiteration of the case, and contributed to the "Sexual Assault Prevention Amendment" (also known as "The Furnace Law"). Then the prototype victim of the movie "The Furnace" filed a lawsuit against the South Korean government for 435 million won (about 26 million yuan) in 2012. But on the 8th, the South Korean Supreme Court made a final judgment on the claim that the plaintiff lost the lawsuit, and the result was embarrassing.
The real ending is sad, but the novel and the movie still give people warmth and strength at the last moment, maybe, as the end of the film says: "We fought all the way, not to change the world, but to not let the world change us. The weather is getting colder and hotter because it is for us to understand how precious the warmth and coolness of the people around us are.”
