Humanity's exploration of the unknown world has never stopped, whether it is out of the desire for unknown civilization or expansion for commercial purposes. Lost in City Z is clearly an exploration of the former purpose. This is a biographical film, and the characters in it really existed. For those ancient civilizations buried in the Amazon rainforest, explorers admire and even worship more than curiosity. Watching this movie will be confusing. Because of China's trade blockade, the British used guns to open the door to China, and set fire to the splendid culture of the Yuanmingyuan. But for the unknown ancient civilization in the Amazon rainforest, he showed sincere piety and admiration. From burning the Yuanmingyuan to exploring the Amazon, it took less than half a century. In just 50 years, the British face a great civilization in reality and an ancient civilization that has disappeared for thousands of years. It turns out that there are two completely different attitudes.
