The Jarrod Game: A Game of Fire for Writers and Directors

Movies and books are different.

In addition to the author of the book, at most there is a part of the editor's efforts. Books are very personal.

The film is different, the producer, the screenwriter, the director, almost everyone who can intervene in the creation of a film can influence a film.

However, I don't care about that.

I value the courage of writers and filmmakers more.

It's a suspenseful story.

In "The Thing About Writing", King said: No reader likes to follow a person's fate for 200 pages, and as a result, he was eaten by a pig...

Therefore, this story does not need spoilers, and there is no need for spoilers, and the heroine will definitely get out of trouble.

The point is that the situation of the heroine created great difficulties for the creation.

I want to write a horror novel where the heroine plays SM, the husband dies unexpectedly, and he is chained to the bed, with wild dogs and unknown weirdos outside.

OK, this is a good novel subject for a good short story.

But, long form? Are you sure you want to write 100,000 words of these things? 200 pages?

Can readers keep reading?

If it is made into a movie, can the audience keep watching it?

Where is the dramatic conflict in this film? It's all the heroine's one-man show and inner drama.

Memories of the heroine. The heroine's childhood trauma, the heroine's unfortunate marriage.

God, this thing is going to be a 90-minute movie, a horror movie? Will the audience be woken up by the next batch of moviegoers? If there is the next batch of viewers.

Frankly speaking, after watching it, I, who are used to watching horror movies with heavy taste, haunting, and dancing gods, etc., this movie is a light-flavored horror art film, and it can’t even be called horror.

Horror movies can be Erguotou, whiskey, or sake from Little Japan.

The movie is not so intense, it talks about the cry for help of the body and the redemption of the soul.

I haven't read the aid, but I think it's not necessarily bad, but it will be very verbose.

Mr. Jin is very verbose when writing novels. "It" is a million words, and the first few chapters can be made into a movie in less than five minutes.

Regardless of whether the movie is good or bad, for this kind of creation, as an audience, I am still very happy to see this kind of attempt.

Movies are also worth watching.

"Yin Dao's life support system"... Admire admiration~ Mr. Jin really is a master.
