After watching the fourth season of "Black Mirror", I feel very disappointed in general, and it is basically a slightly better level than ordinary American dramas. The story is very routine, and the issues discussed are not deep enough, but some episodes have good starting points.
Overall, I think the first and last episodes are the best, the fourth episode is also good, the other three episodes are average, and the third episode is the worst!
The first episode of USS Callister is basically the narrative line of science fiction American TV dramas and small-budget sci-fi films (this story is very similar to the science fiction novel "Silent Howl" - which has been adapted from the game), the setting is not new, it just adds a bit of DNA It's a gimmick of replicators, but the logic is still relatively tight and more credible. The heroine and a few supporting roles are well done, but the male lead is too formal and rigid, a bit black and black. The funniest/tragic part is the guy who gets turned into a bug and a "cosmic villain".
The second episode of Arkangel had a good story idea, but Jodie Foster didn't direct it very well. Originally, this theme of control and whether children should be exposed to the dark side was very open to development, but it turned into a conflict between a neurotic mother and a daughter who wanted to be independent. The idea was low, and the daughter's "doing" "It simplifies and flattens this already complicated problem.
I don't like the third episode of Crocodile very much. This story is basically made up for the last reversal. The hotel murder is justified, the family has already...the back is out of control-the protagonist's normal logic is to cover up a murder, so that life can be normal, and go to someone else's house to continue the murder, she thought she could return to a normal life without leaving a trace? Shouldn't you run away after killing someone at home? The story of "committing one crime to cover up another crime" is forced, and none of the characters are plump, and the supporting roles are all inexplicable. Even this idea of extracting memory is not very powerful in the play, and it has basically no big impact when it becomes "the claims adjuster accidentally discovers the other party's crime".
The fourth episode of Hang the DJ seems to be liked by many people. I think the ending is good. The previous story is average, especially the expressiveness is relatively weak. Ask to come - this utopian society seems a little "mentally retarded", and the instrument does not feel strong, it seems to be an iPad or something, and it can be fooled. The thinking of the brain in the tank was easily turned over between the hero and heroine flirting and flirting.
The fifth episode of Metalhead, as Ma Boyong said, is like a student's film study. The story is too simple (it is really easy to make up a dozen of them)! No connotation. It's just a gimmick to watch the robot dog. What a waste to put in the Black Mirror series.
The nested structure and the theme of revenge in the sixth episode of Black Museum are very interesting, and the part where pain turns into pleasure is also very dark and cold. This episode has a large capacity, and it has a bit of the old version of "Yin and Yang Demon Realm"! It is a pity that the murderer is too isolated and not connected with the previous two short stories, otherwise it may be more divine.
