By chance, I saw this romantic movie that is not romantic. Even if I didn't know before that this would be a work similar to the love trilogy, it's not difficult for me to find similar settings and plots. Even before dawn, the two of them have to go their separate ways, but they are holding hands and wandering aimlessly and talking on the streets of the city together. The fortune-teller's part is like Evans' addition and little humor to the part in Midnight. And the face-to-face in the taxi is more like the classic face-to-face in a Paris video store.
The movie itself is far from the trilogy. Not to mention that the setting of helping each other to restore or persuade the old relationship is not romantic at all, Nick's stalker and the heroine's icy and self-protection from beginning to end also push the plot to make people feel far-fetched. Even the framing and vignettes are quite Native American. Without the blessing of the romantic capital of Paris and the cultural shock and soul collision of the male and female protagonists, the whole film makes people feel bland and even a little embarrassing. The hotel scene in the latter part of the movie is barely able to pull the movie back into the Romance Film category. Otherwise, even Evans' superb and moving performance can't make up for the flaws in the script's lines. The dialogue is long and simple, and it is mostly unwieldy and unmoving to read. The divination scene had a few heart-wrenching lines, but unfortunately it didn't run through.
Rather than seeing it as a romantic love movie, let's summarize the magic of this movie in shaping or deepening our view of love. Perhaps this is the real essence of this movie: 1. There is nothing wrong with being affectionate, But please don't run away from love. No matter how difficult love is, we must face it bravely. 2. There is a future in life, but please don't have it in love. Never convince or compromise yourself to love or be loved. You can't allow the person you love to determine how you love Love is always a matter of two people, and everyone deserves the right to love and be loved. Don't give up the chance to pursue the most sincere feelings in the world for any reason.
If you're committed to somebody, you don't allow yourself to find perfection in someone else. Once you have identified a person and a relationship, it is your responsibility to work hard to manage the relationship. Our single-mindedness and long-term affection for our mates are the hallmarks that distinguish us from other mammals. Go protect a worthwhile relationship, it will be the most wonderful destiny we have ever encountered in our life.
If one day, I pick up the microphone to have a conversation with myself in the past, I will tell myself: If love does not see results, it is because love is not enough, please put it down as soon as possible. Treat the beauty around you kindly, because the unfinished love in this life is the debt you have to repay in the next life.
