This 2014 movie is also only recently known. The bright "ink-style animation" combines the traditional Mexican festival "Day of the Dead" to show the world the common language of everyone: love.
1. Character description
Manolo, the kind-hearted bullfighter: hates killing, loves music, and moved Maria with a sincere heart.
Lady Maria: Born and lively, she likes small animals, and her big eyes are kind and gentle.
Matador Joaquin: "Brave and aggressive", greedy for life and fear of death, likes to take shortcuts.
Sweet Lady of Death: The owner of "Land of Memory", believes that the human heart is beautiful and pure.
Dirty Slimy Civalbar: The owner of "The Land of Oblivion" believes that humans have the same heart as him.
The details of the play
(1) Thomas, the museum guide, may be the candle maker, because the film ends by telling the audience that the female guide and steward are Lady Death and Civalbar.
(2) The museum seems to be a place of memory, with colorful golden lights, all portraits of skeletons and eyes but no beads.
(3) During Manolo's first bullfight, the village chief was brought to the ground in the chaos. After getting up, the bullfight was over, and he mistakenly thought that the bullfight was Joaquin. After that, the village chief kept giving praise to Joaquin, the "future son-in-law", which paved the way for the story behind Joaquin, because he could protect the town of Sangangila.

Dubbing: Compared with Japanese animated films, the dubbing of this film is more inclined to a wild style. When roaring and shouting, it is full of European and American enthusiasm.

It was originally a rather sad Day of the Dead, but the director expressed it in this humorous and romantic way, changing the traditional atmosphere and letting the world know that the Day of the Dead is not a heavy holiday.
5. Potential Information
(1) The Day of the Dead is the product of the combination of Indian culture and Spanish culture dominated by Indian indigenous culture. The Native American Day of the Dead falls in July and August every year.
