It is about the growth of people in the 20th century, and the texture that the times gave them is one of the reasons why the film attracts me. Growth is focused on Jamie, but also on four other protagonists of different ages. And the subject of growth turned out to be women, or, to put it more vulgarly, gender equality. It is rare for a movie to downplay this radical topic, but it is profound. Although the times are far away, the theme of growth can find commonality in many people. It's like Jamie's game of shock, which I also played when I was in middle school.
