The lonely journey of a genius

After watching a sci-fi blockbuster for a year, I waited in the cinema for this film and television masterpiece "Genius Catcher" that calmed my heart. As usual, I watched the movie quietly with a cola in my hand. What was unusual was that I watched a movie without any turbulence in my heart. Just like life is a long and timeless text, what this movie gives the audience is that time has no climax, no sequence, no focus, no transition, and every minute and every second flows at the same speed. But the meaning of the summary is to refine, to condense the whole life of the iceberg into a feeling that can be conveyed, and let you feel the coldness of a snowflake falling into the neck. Max asked Tom if the entire book is guaranteed with passion and sensibility, surging and surging. So how can we highlight the importance of this one? The answer is a concise and powerful statement. This moment is important because his occurrence is different from all others.

After so many years of writing works, when I look back and reflect, I believe that every word, every painting, every language, and every expression contains everyone's self. A good work, every move, every smile, every color and every word used is a refinement of your whole life. I love reading because I find myself in every work, and convey myself in every expression, eager to be understood, accepted, and true love. And when you find yourself in those stories, the understanding you feel at that moment is like being loved. When your expression is correctly understood, the smooth pleasure is also a kind of being loved. And Tom is undoubtedly loved by Max.

I am fortunate to have watched this movie alone and perfectly preserved those moving moments. Listening to the authentic American English, you will not fall for every subtle expression of the actors. To Tom looked out the window with tears in his eyes, like the back of two people overlooking life side by side, like Elly standing in front of the elevator and finally giving up the loneliness. When the words with deep meaning are spit out, the thinking also follows the dream.

If there were no other writers in this movie, I would have felt that the word genius meant tom, but the presence of something other than tom balances the show's focus. I believe that Max's encounter with other people is no less than the story with Tom. This makes it possible to apply the word genius to max as well.

Max roared at Tom in the woods, there is more than one form of life, and the life that everyone chooses has its reason and meaning to stick to it. There is no right or wrong way in life, just as words cannot determine his quality in the form of long-form comedy or prose. You can't even make judgments based on someone's preferences.

I consider myself to be repeating hopeless and depressing daily life mechanically, but in fact, I can’t define it at will based on my own mood. Without such a daily basis, I can't read, watch movies, or draw any more experiences. Those who can't get enough to eat do not have such luxury rights, and the ordinary and tiring daily life is the basis for my rich experience and feelings.

In the end, we can't resent the dullness of the day, but smile and look forward to the next touching encounter.

By the way, this movie is about the 29-33 crisis, and living peacefully in this era full of sorrow and unwillingness is the attitude we should pay tribute to and respect.

  • Thomas Wolfe: I'm sorry I'm not decent enough for your fine dinner parties and your fine friends, but before you drag me out to the wood shed, I think you ought to look at who is giving the lesson. Am I supposed to grow up like you?
