"He definitely didn't kill himself," he told Armand.

"Why?" Armand asked.

"If a person wants to commit suicide, why doesn't he trigger the trigger on his forehead and temple, but shoot himself in the waist? Furthermore, if he commits suicide, the bullet will definitely penetrate his body at such a close distance, but why? Is the bullet still in his body?"

Armand stood there in a trance.

The story takes place after Van Gogh's death, the postman Joseph Roulin entrusts his son Armand Roulin to deliver a letter left by Van Gogh during his lifetime to Van Gogh's dear brother Theo. During this journey of delivering letters, Armand Roulin met three of the most important figures in Van Gogh's final life, and then he began to explore Van Gogh's death. In the end, like peeling a cabbage, the truth of the whole event is pieced together from everyone's one-sided perspective. By the end of the story, the truth about Van Gogh's mysterious death doesn't seem so important. Perhaps, we should pay more attention to Van Gogh's sensitive heart and kindness to the world.

A year ago, I accidentally heard about the production plan of this film, saying that it would use Van Gogh's oil paintings for animation production, so I have been thinking about it for a long time, and I have been looking forward to it for a long time. Today finally ushered in the day of its public release. To be honest, after watching the movie in the cinema, this animation did not give me the shock that it brought me when I watched the trailer at first. The art effect is 100 points, and the story is 20 points. The production team seems to have a good hand but not very well handled. The proportion of the whole animation is a little too inclined to the artistic effect of the picture, and the exploration of Van Gogh's connotation is very lacking. Secondly, the narrative angle is also relatively mediocre. The hasty sensationalism at the end did not detonate my moving, it seemed like a punch in the air. feeling on.

Secondly, what I want to talk about the most is the visual challenge of this animation. The painting strokes of this work are very amazing. The fly in the ointment is that I think the big conflict between oil painting and animated film in this film is the processing of the amount of information in the picture. The oil painting is like a complete article, and the shot is a bit like a natural paragraph in the article. Generally, animation films will simplify the composition or elements of each shot to the greatest extent, so as to facilitate the audience's appreciation habits. But for appreciating oil paintings, it is necessary to carefully appreciate the colors, brushstrokes, textures, etc. in the picture, which requires the audience to have a certain amount of time to digest the information. For me, the first ten minutes of watching the movie, I can still have a fresh sense of this visual feature, but as it gradually becomes difficult to adapt to this new audio-visual rhythm, it will start to feel a little tired. However, as a stylized exploration film, the innovation of animation film + oil painting texture touched me very much and left me with a very deep viewing experience.

Finally, I actually want to tell the friends who haven't seen "Love Van Gogh", this film is based on the real life of Mr. Van Gogh, and the story is not as twists and turns as you want. If you are not a true fan of Van Gogh, and you just want to try something new, it is almost equivalent to watching a two-hour single-clue documentary.

#cinema# At the end of the Starry starry night's music, my eyes turned red as soon as the music sounded. In the end, he couldn't hold back, and after the show was over, he rushed into the bathroom and cried for a long time before picking up his mood and walking out.

It was the first time to watch an oil painting film, and it felt too extravagant to look at the list of painters. It is a wonderful experience to see the familiar Van Gogh paintings come alive in front of me, and the characters begin to intersect and speak. But the Impressionist painting film that changes every frame will feel dizzy if you stare at it for a long time. The content is exactly the same as the biography of Van Gogh that I read when I was a child, but the way of expression is really surprising, I recommend it.

Loving Vincent quotes

  • Pere Tanguy: Two hearts, one mind that's what Vincent told me. Maybe that was the case after all because after Vincent died, Theo went into sharp decline.

  • Pere Tanguy: Theo thought his unhappiness went right back to childhood. He tried so hard to fit into his family. But, he never succeeded in this.
