Just finished watching the hours, I found it very interesting, three women at different times and different places are connected to each other through a book or a person. It was shocking to finally see Richard's mother as Laura, but it made perfect sense. The three women throughout the film are repressed, and they struggle with repression, although the result may or may not be fruitful. Among them, Luara, played by Julianne Moore, is the most disturbing to me, and there is a feeling of depression to the extreme. Especially after she gave up suicide to pick up her son, it made people feel that she had a desperate compromise. But in the end, she found that she had left the house.
