Monica in summer, the confusion of youth

The movie "Monica in the Summer" expresses the confusion of youth and the pain of growing up very real.
The hero and heroine of the story are ordinary boys and girls who live and work in the city. The boy is the so-called good boy who is caring, responsible and housekeeping, and the girl is the so-called bad girl who is lively, sexy and frivolous. The boy lacks opinions, and is swayed by the girl because of his love. He accepts the invitation to watch a movie and begins to flirt with her. Because of the girl's bad situation and anger, he decides to go out with her.
The foggy pier scene has been shown many times in the movie. In the early part of the movie, before the hero and heroine leave the city where they live, there are many scenes where the pier is foggy and some boats are floating on the water. When they left and wandered outside, a larger and wider water area appeared in the camera. The director even used a large panoramic aerial aerial shot to express this open scene: a large water surface, a wide field of vision and sky, and two small male and female protagonists. The figure scoffed on the shore. And these two floating scenes are very interesting, they are almost bare and have no flowers and plants (except for the place with a garden at the beginning), the water waves lapping the shore, or turning into turbulent waves lapping the rocks on the shore. Such scenes are full of some surreal meanings, and have to make people think.
Ingmar Bergman said the film's cinematography was influenced by French poetic realism represented by Marcel Carnet. Indeed, they all show a sense of remoteness and confusion.
If life is divided into four seasons, spring, summer, autumn and winter, then the age of youth, youth and ignorance is summer. In the movie, Monica ran away and drifted with the boy because of dissatisfaction with real life and anger. The freedom and short-term happiness could not be enjoyed for a long time. Later, because of hunger and almost no material conditions, the two chose to compromise and go home. And had to get married because of Monica's pregnancy. The impulsive, frivolous, and confused youth are vividly expressed in this film.
