From "Fireworks Wednesday" to "About Yili", from "A Farewell" to "The Past", and then to "Salesman", the Iranian director Assi, who has won the Oscar for best foreign language film twice and has won numerous awards in the international film industry Asghar Farhadi, every time, no surprise, the atmosphere of suspense and tension can be played with the wind and water. Throughout his films, it is not difficult to find that the story is not complicated but the suspense is repeated, the plot is intricate and fascinating, and the audience will not breathe a sigh of relief until the last moment, but even at the end, the whole process of worrying has eased a little. He kept flashing back and thinking in his mind. This is the director's skill. He can always embed a series of tortured morals, human hearts and human nature caused by small accidents in daily life into complex family relations and marriage life.
"About Yili" tells the story of an Iranian who returned to his hometown from Germany and recently got divorced. On the way to the seaside vacation with his friend, the person who was introduced by his friend disappeared mysteriously. The beautiful kindergarten teacher Yili has a fiancé whose relationship is not going well. She wants to break up. Under the insistence and dissuasion of the student's mother, she agrees to the request to go to the beach with the parents of the students. The parents of the students tried to connect the teacher with Amaud, who had just returned from Germany. The clinker child accidentally drowned while playing at the beach. After the child was rescued, Yili disappeared forever. Later, in the process of tracing people, all kinds of contradictions and conflicts were created, which also became the inducement for temptation, suspicion and lies. The first 30 or 40 minutes of the whole film are relaxing and pleasant, but the small details and the differences of opinion between the parents of the children also laid the groundwork for the development of the situation later. The group of people who were supposed to live in the villa had to go to a dilapidated and dilapidated room near the beach because of the discrepancy between the room reservation and plan, and due to the imperfect communication in advance. Then came a series of surprises.
Many times, accidents often happen in life, and no one can guarantee what will happen in the next moment. However, when encountering misfortune, some people choose to hide the truth, some people choose to tell the truth, some people have no opinion, and some people are emotional, and everyone's attitude and character towards the event will undoubtedly be revealed. The truth is unique, the human heart is diverse, and there is a Koran on the head, which inevitably makes everyone wander and wander on the edge of morality. Whether it's "About Yili" or "A Farewell", they have the same ending, and there are not too many irony and lie tests. The audience, like the protagonist, will begin to ask themselves whether they have a clear conscience for what they said. The implied ending of the film was said through Amode's mouth long before the film began: a painful ending is better than a painful ending without an ending. Therefore, the mystery about Yili's disappearance is sealed in the sea, but she is permanently haunted in the hearts of living people and has become a ruler in everyone's heart.
