Aside from the weak setting of the FBI, in fact, the portrayal of the villain is not bad. In fact, the confrontation between the police and the criminals is really one in the open and the other in the dark. The one who hides in the dark has the upper hand most of the time. It is really difficult to eliminate a well-organized gang. In particular, organizations with the nature of mind control, which cluster together, have their own principles of activity, and are psychologically powerful, such as the gangster in "The Godfather". The police also gradually became very rude and cruel in handling the case, and they did not feel any guilt or embarrassment. I am reminded of a sentence from "Criminal Minds", "If you look into the abyss too long, it will look back at you too". I imagine that Ryan's blackening will be the focus of the storytelling.
In addition, the portrayal of Jacob, Emma, Paul, and Roderick could be better. Their choice to follow Joe voluntarily was a little messy. Claire and Ryan's feelings are not explained too deeply, making people feel indifferent to it, and it is not even as good as Joe's belief in Claire at the end, and being stabbed by him feels lamentable.
If Edgar Allan Poe's stalk can be mentioned a little more, it should be helpful to understand the plot. It is a pity that most of us are ordinary audiences, and even if we have seen it, we have long forgotten it. Maybe the show wasn't aimed at me and the audience.
A drama supported by depicting multiple characters will die immediately after meeting one. It is too difficult for the audience.
I hope that the second part will be more exciting, except for the protagonist, leave a few more lives for us.
