How exactly do we want to exist in the world?

The film shows two extremes
Mary is smart, wise, cunning, and inherited her mother's genes. A carefree life in a small town with Frank. But her cleverness also brought parting.
My grandmother hopes to cultivate a great man who will live forever. Her daughter is a genius, which makes her very proud, so she "deprived" her daughter of everything, no love, no freedom, no happiness, no sadness, as if it was an intelligent computing machine, trying to solve the world's problems. But my grandmother said that every successful great man has endured the cold and walked over.
Grandma has considered mathematics, the world, the world, but not her own daughter. She doesn't want to know what she thinks, she just wants her to go according to her own ideas. Eventually, the daughter left, leaving Mary behind.
It's hard to imagine Diane's mood when she committed suicide, looking at her daughter, but not having the courage to live, what kind of despair it was.
Frank wanted Mary to live an ordinary life, with laughter and tears, not just endless plays and endless numbers. Frank asked Mary to go to sea, raise cats, play with friends, and go to ordinary schools. Although Mary said she didn't want to go, she forced her to go and let her live an ordinary life.
Such Frank "deprived" Mary of the genius gene, and Maxima may also travel hundreds of miles because he didn't meet Bole.

The final outcome, combining the above two, can be said to be a big reunion.

What about us? How do we want to exist in the world? By parental arrangement? And the direction of all beings? Or is it your own dream? Ordinary people are still the majority. They don’t have their own opinions or ideas. They don’t know what they like and need. Since the path arranged by their parents seems to be good, let’s go. Anyway, there is no idea.
Our generation lacks the courage and the courage to fail again. For fear of failure, don't start. If you stop eating because of choking, you will lose the colorfulness of this world. If you don't go around, you won't know how big the world is.
