I think this film wins not in the plot and scenes but in the characterization. Ajie, who hates evil, the cynical Pony, and Zihao, who values love and justice, all left a deep impression on people. In fact, the protagonists of this film are Dillon and Leslie Cheung, but their brilliance has been overshadowed by Chow Yun-fat. Brother Pony uses US dollar bills to light cigarettes, and the appearance of a match in the market's mouth has influenced a generation. From the performance point of view, the three protagonists are quite hardworking, which makes it very enjoyable to watch.
