When I think of this movie, what imprints in my mind is the black-on-white Amazon studio logo, which is cold and sarcastic. Amazon is from the US, but the movie should not approve of the US war on Iraq.
The wall was originally a school wall, but it was a school bombed by the US military before. The sharpshooters in Iraq were also trained in the United States. In the end, the US troops in the play were all killed by their own shadow snipers. The opposite of the story is slightly ironic. Before the end of the story, I still watched it with the taste of an American blockbuster, but after the end I suddenly realized that this is a black satire similar to "Black Mirror". The U.S. military is very powerful, with advanced equipment and well-trained military brothers, who can respond to air strikes at any time. Dealing with a small Iraqi sniper seems to have no suspense in itself. I thought the story was over when Matthew came to life and fired that amazing three-shot, but the director didn't let the story end with the usual Hollywood hero blockbuster. What keeps the story suspenseful is that the Iraqi snipers have never appeared, like ghosts. This is also the uniqueness of this story. There is no real Iraqi sniper in the story. In fact, this is all the people in Iraq. Occupation by force can destroy the local government, the armed forces, and even a small sniper, but it is impossible to destroy a nation, and what cannot be destroyed is the national hatred of the local people for the invaders, so the end of the story Even though there are heroic, unnecessary, and extremely smart and witty soldiers, the US military still cannot escape failure in Iraq! ! ! Nor can the United States win such aggressive wars.
